Hardware

G2 Brno cloud site consists of 12 nodes from single cluster in Faculty of Informatics, Masaryk University, datacenter A510.

Software, cloud versions and components

E-INFRA CZ Ostrava cloud site is built on top of OpenStack, which is a free open standard IaaS cloud computing platform and one of the top 3 most active open source projects in the world. New OpenStack major versions are released twice a year. OpenStack functionality is separated into more than 50 services.

OpenStack Yoga and Kubernetes 1.24.17 underneath.

Following OpenStack components are available.

Cloud architecture strictly follows IaC, GitOps approaches to minimize cloud maintenance toil.

Migration from G1 Brno Cloud site

Cloud workload migration from G1 Brno Cloud instance to G2 Brno Cloud instance is planned for 2024.
