“What networks can I use to access my instances?”

Group projects by default come with the internal network group-project-network (192.168.0.0/24), which already has routing set up to the recommended external-ipv4-general-public network. This allows direct allocation and use of public Floating IPs. Unlike the G2 clouds, there is no shared internal network for personal projects on this cloud.

”Where will my instance run — Brno or Ostrava?”

The Oliver cloud is a single cloud with two availability zones: brno and ostrava, which map to the two geographical locations. You select the availability zone when creating an instance (CLI option --availability-zone, or the corresponding field in the Horizon dashboard). Flavor access controls on which host group the instance can be scheduled — see Flavors.

”Is VM/image backup available?”

Automated backup of VM images is currently work in progress on the Oliver cloud. Until the service is rolled out, you are responsible for backing up your own data — see the volume backup guide and our terms of service.
